Our Values

Our Community

Serving one another

Better Together

At Apex, we work hard, but play harder. Whether it’s monthly huddles, departmental team activities or company events — opportunities for fun never end. Our team camaraderie extends well beyond the typical 9 to 5 as we care about one another’s stories and the people behind the professions.

Serving our community

Volunteering Encouraged

Apex maintains a strong tradition of investing in the local community. Our Community Day of Service is just one way the entire organization gives of its time, talent and financial resources in support our non-profit clients’ important missions. In recent years, we’ve served Gleaners Food Bank, Little Red Door Agency, Julian Center and Holy Family Shelter (and enjoy a company-wide celebration after a days’ hard work, pictured).

Our employees also are individually empowered to share their passion, time, talents and financial gifts with community organizations with a day of pay (Volunteer Time Off) to serve the organizations and causes of their choice.

Employee Well-being

Physical & Mental Health

Apex offers a Wellness Rewards program with incentives for participation. Our internal health experts (nurses, wellness coaches, yoga instructors, dietitians and healthy peer role models) coordinate regular health challenges and are available to provide support when needed. Nearby, within the business park, there are basketball courts, walking trails and a large gym to which employees can join at a discount.

John F. Gause, President & CEO

“We’re an organization that is positively disruptive and constantly evolving. We’re setting the pace for the employee benefits industry, not just trying to keep it. I’m excited about the future for Apex and what that will mean for our employees and clients.”
