Serving our community

Volunteering Encouraged

Apex maintains a strong tradition of investing in the local community. Our Community Day of Service is just one way the entire organization gives of its time, talent and financial resources in support our non-profit clients’ important missions. In recent years, we’ve served Gleaners Food Bank, Little Red Door Agency, Julian Center and Holy Family Church (and enjoy a company-wide celebration after a days’ hard work, pictured). Our employees also are individually empowered to share their passion, time, talents and financial gifts with community organizations with a day of pay (Volunteer Time Off) to serve the organizations and causes of their choice.

Employee Wellbeing

Physical and Mental Health

Apex offers a Wellness Rewards program with incentives for participation. Our internal health experts (nurses, wellness coaches, yoga instructors, dietitians and healthy peer role models) coordinate regular health challenges (like the Apex 500 walking challenge, pictured) and are available to provide support when needed. In addition, we have a small fitness studio on site. Nearby, within the business park, there are basketball courts, walking trails and a large gym to which employees can join at a discount.

    Business Development Associate (Employee Benefits)

    The Business Development Associate (BDA) is part of a team that has responsibility identifying prospective new clients and securing initial engagement. This is a Hunting role - a high level of resilience and grit is required to achieve success. In direct partnership with the Sales Advisor team, they contribute to driving new leads resulting in achieving new sales revenue goals. Their primary responsibility is lead generation created through cold calling, email, social media, networking, company research, inquiry and more. This individual works directly with Apex's Sales Advisors, and in partnership with Marketing, Client Services, and consulting teams to identify, cultivate and secure new clients to join the Apex family.

  • Market Analysis

    Market Analyst (Employee Benefits)

    The Benefits Analyst (market analyst) is instrumental in the process of supporting the employee benefits service cycle. In a non-client facing role, the market analyst, along with the advisor, account executive, and account service representative, create the core client team. The market analyst provides value to the client team through primary management of client renewal reporting process. This includes creating and following up on carrier RFPs, analysis of carrier market, preparation and delivery of reporting for presentation, and retention of the client's benefits.
