Kelsey works with her clients to develop comprehensive, unique wellness programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of their employee population. She engages in one-on-one health coaching sessions, wellness programming design and implementation, and provides customized solutions for improving the health, quality of life, and productivity of employees.
Kelsey joined the Apex team in December 2021 after five years working at the Indiana Department of Health as Wellness and Physical Activity Coordinator. In this role, she trained statewide workplaces on the CDC’s Work@Health program, managed the Indiana Healthy Workplaces grant program and provided technical assistance for workplaces to adopt low to no cost wellness programming strategies.
Kelsey graduated from Indiana University School of Public Health in Bloomington, Indiana, with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Kinesiology, concentrating in physical activity, fitness and wellness. She is health coach certified through the American Council on Exercise, and maintains three supporting certificates: Behavior Change, Weight Management and Functional Training. Throughout Kelsey’s professional career, she has engaged with clients ranging from children to the elderly, and she has worked alongside individuals living with a variety of circumstances including obesity, cancer, chronic conditions and physical disabilities.
Born and raised in Merrillville Indiana, Kelsey lives in Indianapolis with her husband Dane, and a horse-sized Labradoodle, Yogi. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, exploring local breweries, playing recreation softball and cheering on the Indiana Hoosiers!
