John leads the Apex Benefits resource group of health and welfare plan regulatory compliance experts to provide clients effective guidance and support. John organized Apex compliance solutions to include desktop tools, guides, legislative updates and a personal rapid response approach to employer inquiries — all without a retainer and within the Apex core service model. John initiates a comprehensive regulatory compliance assessment for each client, then formulates a plan to correct any gaps they may have. John and the Apex Client Services team help substantially reduce client compliance issues that could result in fines and penalties if left unchecked.
John is a veteran in employee benefits with over 25 years of experience having a depth of experience in group medical coverage sales, retention and team leadership with an emphasis on introducing new products having unique claims and cost controls, quality of care initiatives and population health management based on healthcare analytics and predictive modeling. Prior to joining Apex, John was Director of Sales and Retention at Indiana University’s M-Plan.
In his time off John likes to tinker and ride on one of his several motorcycles and spend time with his children and grandkids in Indiana, California and Texas.
