Alexa works alongside the Advisors and Account Executives to design a strategic benefits package for clients based on their existing and potential future needs. She collaborates with Advisors, Account Executives, Analysts and the Account Service Representatives to conduct benefit and financial analysis of employer plans — ensuring Apex clients receive the best possible benefits at the most reasonable price. Alexa also coordinates and negotiates with carrier partners and prepares client deliverables.

Before joining Apex Benefits, Alexa graduated from Indianapolis University Purdue University- Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Service Management. She previously worked at American Specialty Health. During her time there, she was assisting providers in patient benefit verification, pre-authorization submission and determinations. She also built experience serving members through benefits education, claims processing and appeals support.

Alexa is also passionate about women’s health. Since she was 10 years old, she has volunteered with Ovar’Coming Together, a non-profit raising awareness and improving quality of life for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In her free time, Alexa loves spending time with her friends and family and enjoying quiet moments reading.
