Family Development Services added Brooke Salazar to its board of directors. She serves as human resource consultant and in-house associate counsel at Indianapolis-based Apex Benefits. Salazar is a licensed attorney and certified human resource professional. She earned her J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
As the sole provider of Head Start for Marion and Hamilton counties, the mission of Family Development Services is to nourish early childhood development and foster long-term learning and social skills. The agency and its partners do this through education, comprehensive health services, active family involvement and family support services such as employment counseling, literacy education and crisis intervention.
