As a Population Health Specialist, Liz develops programs and tools for clients that target improving the health, productivity, and culture of their employee population. Within this role, she coordinates wellness events, delivers onsite health engagement activities, leads wellness committees and conducts one-on-one health coaching sessions. She primarily works at a client site two days a week as a part-time Wellness Coordinator. Through her increased onsite presence, she is able to be a trusted resource and effectively improve not only the morale and productivity of her participants but their overall population health as well.
Prior to coming on to Apex in July 2017, Liz completed her M.S. in Health Promotion at the University of Kentucky, earning a Health Coaching Certificate, and a B.S. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. She has had previous experience teaching group fitness classes, conducting health education sessions, and recently shifted a huge part of her passion for health into health coaching. Liz previously completed internships around worksite wellness, where she was offered the opportunity to experience health coaching in many forms; her favorite being one-on-one, as she values the personal interaction that comes from it. Liz’s education and experience have granted her the insight into the health realm and have played a significant role in the development of helping others achieve their optimal wellness.
Liz recently moved to the Indianapolis area from Lexington, KY. She is a devoted UK fan, concert connoisseur, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
