In my corner

Who do you turn to when the chips are down?

Do you have someone that helps you with financial planning? Physical fitness? Spiritually? Career guidance?

Do you turn to someone regularly for advice?

Curious, can you rattle off in 60 seconds or less who exactly is in your corner? PersonallyProfessionally.

My guess is these folks know you, well – What matters most to you. What you want out of life.

Regardless of what stage in life or career, you stand to benefit from a tidy approach to organizing those that influence you. I ran across an alternative perspective (“The 6 People You Need in Your Corner”, https://www.forbes.com/sites/jessicahagy/2012/07/17/the-6-people-you-need-in-your-corner/) years back that suggests, “Nothing incredible is accomplished alone. You need others to help you, and you need to help others. With the right team, you can form a web of connections to make the seemingly impossible practically inevitable.”

A slightly nuanced approach to a more traditional mentor / mentee relationship – But worthy of exploring if you’re struggling to ID and organize your most important influences. It has certainly served me well over the years.
