Do those that sit less live longer? Evidence is growing that sitting time increases the likelihood of developing cancer, especially for women. In an American Cancer Society study, women who spent 6 hours or more each day sitting (when not working) had a 10% greater risk of developing cancer compared to women who sat less than 3 hours a day. “Stand Up to Cancer” and incorporate more standing activities in the evening, such as cooking dinner, folding laundry or doing yoga and let us know how it goes!
