Wellness Wednesday: 2018 Habits

 

While January 1st marks the start of a new year, each day is a new opportunity to start or stop a behavior. That’s great news considering only 8% of individuals keep their New Year’s resolutions, according to a University of Scranton study. Still wanting to improve your health for 2018? Great! Adopt the following healthy habits that you’ll be able to stick with all year,

  • Resolve to be more positive – Gratitude has shown to have a positive impact on sleep habits, blood pressure, energy and stress levels. Plus, smiling is contagious!
  • Practice daily self-care – 15 minutes a day of meditation, journaling, deep breathing, exercising or taking a bath is essential for a clear mind and overall wellbeing.
  • Participate in your company’s wellness program – If your company offers flu shots, screenings or onsite offerings from chair massages to health coaching sessions, take advantage of them.
