Shopping! Shopping! Shopping! Whether it be Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday or any other day you’ll be spending money, here are some tips to get the most out of the holiday while keeping the most in your bank account.
- Compare prices — Do your research before you leave to shop or look around online to compare prices. Some stores might have better discounts than others, offer free shipping, or offer cashback.
- Plan your purchases — Have a plan of what you want to buy, who you want to buy for, and where you need to go first. This helps you from getting off course and buying more than you need. Make a list and bring the ads with you.
- Talk to people in the (virtual) line — Whether you’re shopping in-person or online, converse with your fellow shoppers because they’re on the hunt just like you are. They might mention where they just were or are off to next. You never know what you could learn! If cyber shopping, talk with friends and family beforehand to see what deals they know of and are buying for their friends and family.
- Search for coupons — Search the internet for coupons on specific items or look for coupons from certain stores. Buying with coupons will make you feel better by saving more!
