As a Population Health Specialist, Grace builds relationships with clients to optimize the health and well-being of their employees through specifically designed wellness programming. Guided by a population’s particular needs, such wellness programming could include individual health coaching, group nutrition education classes, or community engagement initiatives. These efforts aim to support employees in realizing their personal and professional potential.
Prior to joining the Apex team in July 2018, Grace completed her dietetic internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN where she specialized in health promotion in the context of corporate wellness. She has prior experience working as a nutrition educator in areas such as normal and global nutrition, diabetes prevention, and physical activity. Experience in research and development has also helped Grace develop an understanding of food science and how it plays a role in daily life.
Grace is an Indianapolis native and earned a B.S. in Applied Health Science, Dietetics from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. There, she also discovered a passion for cycling which accompanies her love for hiking, running and anything and everything outdoors. She finds happiness in friends and family, good books, and lots of laughter. Grace’s outlook on wellness is driven by a desire to enjoy life and motivate others to do the same through personalized, preventive health care.
