The United States House of Representatives passed the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill Wednesday, sending it to President Joe Biden’s desk to be written into law. The bill was passed with a final vote of 220-211, and the bill is expected to be signed by Biden as early as Friday morning.
There’s lots of pieces in this bill, including optional paid leave for employees, a child tax credit of up to $3,600, $125 billion is funding for K-12 schools, $14 billion to fund COVID-19 vaccine distribution along with the $300 per week jobless benefits and the $1,400 checks for qualified individuals.
