Transparency is the quality of easily being seen and readily understood.
When I think of something being transparent, I think of the clear blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. You can see everything under the water’s surface: the fish, the coral and even the sharks.
In the world of employee benefits, transparency should be top of mind to employers. An employee will factor in many things when deciding a potential job change. Of course, salary is a big factor, but the employee benefits package is just as big.
Being transparent to your employees about their benefits is worth the time – not just for them, but for you as well. You wouldn’t — or shouldn’t — purchase a new set of tires without asking what the estimated cost would be, and you most likely wouldn’t pay a bill without making sure the statement is the correct amount.
As an employee who stepped away from Apex Benefits for a few years due to a move across the country, I can assure you that there are plenty of sharks out there. Those sharks will promise lots of things that sound important, but won’t follow through once they have your business.
At Apex, we focus on being as transparent as possible, and you will always know what to expect from us.
Your account service team is dedicated to making sure you have everything you need and making sure that you know who to contact to answer any questions. When we work with our clients on designing a new employee benefits package or providing consulting with a project, they know what to expect, who to expect it from and when it will be delivered.
Let’s be frank, benefits can be confusing and if you don’t have a trusted partner to walk through the decision-making process with you and your employees disaster could be imminent.
At Apex, our subject matter experts can answer questions such as:
- Should you go self-funded?
- Should you remain fully insured?
- Should you explore Reference Based Reimbursement?
- Should you switch Pharmacy Benefit Managers?
- Should you implement a more rigid Population Health Program?
- Are you compliant with ERISA, HIPPA and all other laws that apply to your plan?
Our team is eager to answer your questions.
Consistency and transparency are what make benefits successful. Making the choice to see through the transparent water and not jump in with the sharks is easy when you choose to work with Apex.
