Apex Benefits vice president of human resources and administration, Stephanie DiBlasio, recently provided her thoughts on Apex’s involvement with EmployIndy’s Good Wages Initiative during an interview with the Indianapolis Business Journal.
Before becoming a Good Wages certified employer, DiBlasio stated that Apex was already paying every employee at least $18 an hour.
Apex is one of the first of 24 companies to adopt the initiative to provide liveable wages and proper benefits to employees, becoming certified in April 2022. The company’s involvement strengthens its dedication to providing the best for employees.
“We want current and future employees to have resources they need to be successful, inside and outside the workplace,” DiBlasio said.
More and more companies are adopting this initiative in their business practice, which DiBlasio states could make a difference throughout Indiana.
“When companies can pay their employees better wages and retain workers, I think it helps the brand of the state and it helps the brand of the employer groups,” DiBlasio said.
