IPS Foundation launches fund to eradicate inequities in student access to technology, internet service, health resources and more

Apex Benefits is proud to be one of the first financial supporters of the Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) Education Equity Fund to help close the gap between students and equal access to technology and other resources, especially in the midst of school closures due the COVID-19 pandemic.

The IPS Foundation states that 65 percent of students in the IPS district qualify for free and reduced services. Therefore, “inequities become even more exacerbated during a national health crisis” such as the one the world is living through right now.

The Fund, officially launched on April 10, 2020 by the IPS Foundation, “expands the capacity of IPS to meet the needs of students, staff and families who are disproportionately affected by COVID-19” today and will help to set them up for long-term success.
