Apex Benefits Announces Release of Indiana Employee Benefits Benchmark Report

Apex Benefits will release its 2023 Indiana Employee Benefits Benchmark Report on June 8 in Indianapolis. Based on survey responses from 764 Indiana employers and more than 23,000 national organizations, the report provides insights Indiana employers can use to develop competitive benefits programs that attract top talent.

The report, commissioned by Apex from independent actuarial consultant Milliman, compares Indiana employer-sponsored medical and pharmacy benefit plan trends to national employer data. In addition, it provides a unique clinical and financial look at benefits strategy and risk management trends within the Apex book of business.

“The insights illustrate that, despite uncontrollable factors that continue to drive health care costs like inflation and provider shortages,” says Apex Chief Client Officer Amber Chittenden, “employers can exert control. They can contain costs and manage risk while maintaining access to quality care and minimizing disruption for their plan members.”

Indiana business executives and HR professionals are invited to attend the June 8 reception, where the 2023 Indiana Employee Benefits Benchmark Report will be presented. The event also will feature Keynote Speaker Paul Keckley, PhD., a health care policy expert who will present “Secrets of the Health Care System: Five Ways Employers Can Take Control.”

“Employers hold the greatest financial burden for commercial health care costs nationwide. They can be the catalyst for improved performance and greater accountability within the health system, but few are prepared. What they don’t know is expensive and if they don’t force change to occur, it simply won’t happen.” – Paul Keckley, PhD

Attendees will:

  • Participate in a discussion with a leading national health care and health policy expert who has advised numerous organizations and agencies including the White House Office of Health Reform
  • Learn how their benefits strategy leadership can be pivotal in creating change within the health system, and minimizing the financial risk of their organizations and health risk of their plan members
  • Hear highlights from and receive the 2023 Apex Benefits Indiana Employee Benefits Benchmark Report
